I was volunteering with ASNet for about 1.5 years and had a wonderful time with fellow volunteers over there. I was a home maker and was looking to get back to work after my long break from IT industry Career when I joined ASNet as a volunteer two years ago. I started as an Admin Assistant helping them with computers like typing emails, printing/scanning files and some ad hoc tasks. Gradually, I was given the opportunity to manage the Accounts for the charity, which developed my interest in Bookkeeping/Accounting. I am now working towards qualifying myself in Bookkeeping & Accounting. ASNet also gave me the opportunity to communicate with people from different backgrounds, make lots of new friends, and participate in some fundraising events. This really helped in building up my confidence and positivity towards life.
